Back when I first built the Bumblebee, I too read that a NP-420 will not work with a PTO on a hydraulic bell/318. I was stubborn and knew I could make it work. NOT ! The problem is clearance for PTO to BH and also clearance past the BH for the winch drive shaft. Soo all that work down the drain. Installed a NP-435 and all worked well. Its still a very tight fit on one of the PTO mount bolts, but with enough Irish Cream, you can get it tight.
