OK, So they're done & other than I think I'm going to sandblast them, they're ready to ship out.
So when I finished grinding the castings I shot a coat of black primer on them just because once they're riveted together, as you can imagine, they're a lot harder to paint. I'm not sure if it's just that bronze doesn't like cheap paint or what but as you can see...I can scrape it off with my fingernail!
So I'll deal with it & you'll have to spray them with whatever paint you're using on your chassis but I strongly recommend not using any useless paint like rustoleum or the like.
Next, the pic is of the RH brackets only. I hope everyone realizes that the LH brackets will arrive as a casting, a light adapter & 3 rivets. You're going to have to take the license bracket you bought from VPW or Roberts & rivet the 3 parts together...which is about the easiest job on the planet but if anyone is not confident in their riveting skills, if you prefer to mail me the license bracket, I'm happy to rivet them together for you.
If anyone intends to do this, be sure to email me...soon! Otherwise your brackets are shipping out in the next couple of days.
Not sure if I have any leftovers yet if anyone is still needing either but I'll know soon.
Marty
