John had a Dodge panel van in their their salvage yard. Buy the rear doors and hinges off of that. You will have to shorten them a little. The civilian and 1/2-ton panels are taller than the 3/4-ton WC53.
I think it would be just as easy and more fucntional to have windows raise and lower than sliding glass. I concurr that unless, you are planning third row seating, you'll probably never need to lower the rear-most windows. On the other hand, once you figure out how to engineer the middle windows, it might be just as easy to duplicat that as to engineer fixed glass.
