I ended up using the early Chevy NV4500 for two reasons. Space and OD ratio.
Since I had already rebuilt the NP200 I wanted to re-use it so that limited me to the Chevy NV4500, Spicer, or Ford.
The Spicer has that convoluted mounting system, and while you can get a custom OD gear, stock they're not as low as the NV.
The Ford also has a higher OD, and then there's the different versions to sort through.
Downside of the NV is it's expensive due to demand, and uses special fluid and can have 5th gear issues if used hard.
