Saw this in one of my trade rags about an upcoming mandate for "black" box data-loggers in all new cars. As if half a dozen computers plus On-star weren't enough. I have to wonder if this idea was invented by an engineer, or by a lawyer. Apparently the Obama administration loves it, and like spiral lightbulbs and vegetarian school lunches, is going to make you love it too.

What will be in the auto black box?
