Thats good to know Will. The more i think bout it herculiner may not be a good choice for an undercoating. The small rubber chips tend to catch and hold debris. The rough surface is desirble for areas where nonslip foot traffic is important, but im guessing a smooth/slick debris sheeding surface would be better for an undercoating
