that truck apparently sat for 30+ years in a garage in the Ottawa area,I know they get more humidity than we do come summer. I guess the floor of the garage never had in poly under cement and come early summer those floors can sweat something fierce. I wouldn't let surface rust on diffs ,trannies etc bother to you much,change the oil after running a few miles. I would think most power wagons that spent anytime sitting probably suffer similar fates but they keep going. I will help you try to find another motor come spring.
