O T tractor help

I have a 1972 allis challmers 170 tractor ,I have been using to push snow . It is supposed to have a locking diffential,one of two types a hydrualic operated with a lever or a manual with foot pedal. I have crawled for days under the tractor cant find a thing . Also i have been searching many many tractor forums and very little information can be found. i know the is a wise bunch of fellows on this site and maybe someone could shed some light on this problem or send me in he right direction junoir copey and thanks in advance
