Bill - I saw your post and contacted my nephew who spent 3 years working in Africa on environmental and infrastructure projects for a non-profit. He was based out of South Africa but had projects all over the continent including Kenya and Tanzania. He offered to speak with your son if he wanted a perspective from someone more his age who has been there done that. If there is any interest you can email or call me.
