The biggest mistake people make when buying a DA sander is their compressor isn't big enough. The size of the tank (usually expressed in gallons) isn't as important as having enought CFM out of the compressor itself. A DA sander can very quickly deplete the air in the storage tank.
I own a Porter Cable 120v sander that I use all the time. No waiting for air to build up, I can keep going continuosly.
