I know what is different about wood primers vs paints, but nobody has ever given me any chemistry of metal primer vs paint. Why should any "primer" stick better than any "paint"? And more on this topic, is there some additive in DTM primers, or is it just an inherent property of the binder (epoxy) used?
Auto paint companies won't tell us how much is binder, filler, thinners or 'snake oil'. They only say "Ours is better, the other brand's salesmen are liars."
But my favorite suppliers stocks DtM epoxy, polyester, and acrylic primers. I suppose they could all have the same 'etcher', or maybe the same 'vapor ware'? But whatever they tell me, I won't believe THEM.
