Things have definitely cooled off since your economy took a beating but Whistler & the Gulf Islands here were probably more US citizens than Canadians until recently.
I heard Whistler was busy with US tourists again & so maybe that's a good sign for the economy.
The Canadian Government seems to want to let in half of Asia into Canada but actually, we'd be happy if nobody knew where we were :)
If you've been to Vancouver lately then you know that unfortunately the secret is out.
The cheapest you'll find a tear down junk home within 30 min of downtown is roughly a million US dollars.
The good news is I can sell & buy quite a ranch in ID for that kind of money! :)
Luckily wifey is a nurse & for whatever reason the US immigration love letting nurses into the US so we're thinking about a move....kind of thinking Northern Cal though.
