6volt to 12 volt

getting ready to swap starting system from 6 volt to 12 volt and I have a question. I know the 6 v starter will handle 12 v with no problems, but is there any problems with the starter going from original pos ground to neg ground. I just need to start and move the carryall around once in awhile and I will build the rest of the harness from scratch later or get a universal kit fro painless wiring
