Since it has already been re-powered, you might as well put a motor in there that best suits your driving needs.
I love the 4bt and 6bt. I always hesitated to put a modern power plant in my Carryall, becuase it was so original, but I'm coming around.
I'm realizing that everyone has old junk stashed away. Nothing is as rare as it seems. If you want to be truly unique, the secret is to drive your truck and make it useful in your life.
I once thought it sacrilege to put a metric motor in my old Ameircan truck, but my work with biodiesel has convinced me that it is more in keeping with the spirit in which my WWII truck was built that I burn American-made fuel in it instead of fuel imported from the Middle East or Venezuela. I'm begining to think that a biodiesel-powered Cummins is a very appropriate Power Wagon motor. We may just have to appreciate the irony that the fuel injection is German engineering.
