93 Dodge CTD

I am thinking about selling my Dodge. I have had it for 20 years. I have been told it is worth more if I part it out. Can this be true. Just seems a running driving truck would be worth more than the parts. It has 351K miles very little paint. Dana 60 front, Dana 70 rear, 205 tranfer case, 46RH auto tranny.
