I hate the damn things. You're having a conversation with somebody and their phone starts vibrating, they immediately ignore you and start yakking or texting with somebody while you're left standing there thinking "you know I have things I need to be doing too". Nothing has done more to make people rude and inconsiderate than cell phones. Or they're walking down the street blathering on their bluetooth like a hallucinating psychotic.
I know the damn things have a built in answering machine, but does anybody ever let a caller just talk to the answering machine? Of course not. They're WAY too important for that. They HAVE to answer every call immediately no matter what they're doing, even if they're already doing three things at once. I've had people try to talk to me while they're sitting on the pot. Those are NOT sound effects I want to hear. I saw a survey where a quarter of the kids these days think it's okay to answer talk on the cell phone or text somebody while they're having sex.
So yeah, let's melt down all the cell phones, or at least ban the use of them in public or maybe even in the presence of any other human being.
