Chris,

Added a photo of the shaft for the Capstan drum. It is 6 1/4" from the bracket to the end of the shaft.
The hole in the drum lines up with the hole in the shaft and even though I couldn't find it, I assume a pin thru those holes is what holds it on. I didn't take it apart myself so not sure if I have the pin or not. Hope this helps.
