Yes that is a DAMN good idea, I had both of my boys shooting before their 8th birtday, neither have killed anyone or otherwise harmed any one or anything with a firearm. my five year old granddaughter is already shooting and will get her first rifle this chrismas, her four mo. old brother will also learn early.
