The hood totally enclosed the head and is suspended on top of the head with a face shield type head mount. The plastic window is very large, you can see as well as you do with no hood. I use pieces of "Crystal Clear" window film cut to the size of the window and use masking tape to hold them on. When they get overspray and vision is difficult, remove the tape and put a new piece of "Crystal Clear" film over the window plastic. Its the same "Crystal Clear" film I use on my Blast cabinet to keep the glass from getting etched.
