I know that in the MoPar cars, I have never seen a factory dual pulley alternator without A/C. Also, the factory made single pulley versions of both the 45 amp and 60 amp alternators. Some people will try to tell you that the 60 amp unit always had a dual pulley. As far as buying an altenator, I have had bad luck with rebuilt alternators. One problem is a pulley which is not concentric. I think that an eccentric pulley contributed to an early water pump failure that had. For a 69 340 Dart I had, I found an NOS, 60 amp, single pulley alternator. It was the "square back" style, with the exposed rectifier diodes, which are easier to replace than the pressed in diodes. Then, I rewired the charge circuit to match the 70 and later schematic. This way, I could use the 70 and up solid state voltage regulator, plus I had the correct connections at the alternator.
