Agreed. My chevy has a cracked block and every 5 years or so I need to put another can of stop-leak in it. My dad had the crack "stitched" when he inherited the truck, but that never totally stopped the leak. I know there are better ways to properly fix it but none cheaper or easier than a bottle of stop leak ever 5 years. On the other hand, the heater cores I've replaced (not many, but a couple) have had pretty large cracks in the solder where the tubes go into the core. No doubt vibration and the length of hose attached to them wiggles them until they crack. It was obviously beyond anything stop-leak could fix. I don't envy anyone having to replace a heater core on a modern vehicle.
