My apologies for posting an item so far off topic, but this place is the best source for really knowledgeable content about Dodges.
Before I post, I'll note that I do indeed have a Power Wagon, which folks who might look back in the really early version of this forum might be aware of, as I've posted from time to time. That's a 62 W300. And I have a 07 Dodge 3500 diesel.
As apparently Dodge's come home to roost here, I'm now writing about my recently acquired 1997 Dodge 1500. This 4x4 was picked up as we now have a teenage driver and I didn't want him driving what was my daily driver, a 01 Cougar (which has now gone down the road).
Okay, here's my question. I don't like the fully engaged front axle this model has and I'd put locking hubs on it if I could. I found a conversion kit to do that, which is here:

Anyone have an experience with this product and making this conversion? Good idea, bad idea, etc?
