My dad (a WWII vet) was in the Army and stationed in Hawaii in the early 50's.
As a child, I remember going with him to a Pearl Harbor Day ceremony at the USS Arizona. I didn't realize how fresh the war must have been in the minds of everyone there except me.
Now, most of those people are gone.
