Paul, Thanks for posting this.
My Dad's cousin was on the California that day.
He was blown off it from an explosion but had relatively minor injuries.
Due to a name mix-up, his parents were told he was KIA.
They had some sort of memorial service for him in their hometown in NE, but then to their joy got a telegram about a week after the attack from him.
