Probably the biggest catalog of machine tooling and precision hardware around. Web site is http://www1.mscdirect.com/cgi/nnsrhm. Enco is their low-priced offshoot. Often the same part thing is cheaper at Enco (http://www.use-enco.com).
McMaster-Carr is another good one to check. They're more into the old-fashioned hard-to-find hardware than modern tooling and fasteners. I've bought such things as babbitting supplies, a wide variety of industrial felts, military battery cable ends, and square lockwashers from them.
