Not sure what you mean by "any interchangeable parts" The same engine was used for a long time on lots of vehicles. There are military, civilian and industrial versions. There are 6, 12, and 24 volt starters, some with bendixes, some with pedals, and some with solenoids. I doubt any original-style generators are available any more as rebuilds from the auto parts stores. Most trucks have been converted to 12 volts, using any sort of alternator you happen to have, with a suitable bracket jerry-rigged. I've seen all kinds of setups.

When I'm looking for off-the-shelf retail type parts, and have to plug something into the auto parts website, I usually say it's for a '56 Dodge 1-ton, or a '56 Plymouth Savoy. For starters and generators, though, you may need to rebuild your own, go to a good auto electric shop, or get a good used one from somebody here. There are still plenty around, but you probably won't find it a O'Reilly's.
