You can use a bit of thread to keep gasket in place .
or several of those old foam earplugs pointed up through the holes and pull them out once the bolts are in .
Put all the bolts in before tightening
chase the threads with a tap
clean the threads on the bolts
straighten the pan along it's edge ( if it has been over tightened in the past )
how is that ?
