not sure, I dont have a factory W500 w/winch to compare it to.
My PW300CC has the MU-2A and there is a small relief in the forward crossmember, but not a hole. Other W300s with LU-2 dont have this relief.
Another W300CC I have fell victim to a torch, cannot believe how they butchered it.
