You need a pair of 1-2-3 blocks, or other known thickness. Stand the collet vertical, use calipers to measure a diameter. And a know height block, and measure again. Do the math.
I like to use 1-2-3 blocks, laying flat for first measure, with calipers lying on their tops. Then stand them up and measure again. The two measurements will be one inch apart, so the difference in caliper measurements is taper per inch.
I believe Jarno is .050/inch, or .600/ft. Google is your friend. Jarno is unique in that all sizes have the same taper.
