I recently had two vehicles shipped to NY..One from FL..One from Iowa. My first times doing such, and a learning experience.
Most times you are dealing with a broker, except like the two mentioned here. Don't take the 'high' expecting better service. It may just be the broker trying to make more for himself. Don't take the low for reasons mentioned. It may sit somewhere between point A and point B until a trucker has nothing more lucrative to haul, unless timeliness is a non issue. Also, give no money to a broker until he has a trucker lined up, otherwise he has no incentive...he's already made his commission.
