Most will probably think this was overkill or at least a needless expense, but it was worth the peace of mind at a minimum to me.
I had to wait for the engine to cool after running it for the first time yesterday, to clean out the Tefba radiator filter. I didn't know if there would be anything in it or not? This is what I found...
All this would have gone directly into my nice new radiator!
I cleaned it out and ran the engine again this morning for about 30 minutes. Much faster idle today. We'll see how much more it catches later today after it has cooled down again.
As this filter is not exactly cheap, I am pleased with the results.
