One option You can convert your M37 to a civilian with dual output with just a couple of pieces. You will need the output shaft, the rear cap with the hole for the shaft and seal, the seal and the shift lever. VPW has all except the shaft. Dave C may have a used shaft.
I would contact Dave C and talk to him about reversing the parts in yours so you can mount it on the passenger side. He should know.
I could tell you more about swapping M37 and civilian NP420 trannies. I took an early M37 NP420 case with the early crash box bolt pattern and swapped in the gears and shafts from a civilian NP420. I then mounted a M37 PTO and the civilian top with shifter. I the swapped this into my 1951 ffPW as a direct bolt in. I did not have to change the bell housing. It works really nicely. I do need to change the top cover as it is defective. The 2nd gear shift rod will not go into its detent. The shift fork hits it's support web before it can go into the detent. The shift fork or the shaft was drilled incorrectly. It will tend to pop out of 2nd coasting down hill.
