My '53-B3 Power Wagon has the rear drive shaft connected to the emergency brake drum, which turns faster than the propeller shaft of the transfer case, yet has the same big shaft and bearings. It works, but it is rough on U-joints. Also, the front wheels turn slower than the rears when in 4WD, rather than the other way around, but I haven't got it stuck yet. It makes the problem of running in 4WD on hard surfaces much bigger, and also more obvious. Anyone else have this modification?
