boring and sleeving of brake cyl

I have been thinking of doing this on my brake cylinders. I have seen ads about this done with stainless steel or brass sleeves. What is better material for this use? Are the stock type pistons used or are they replaced with another material type? The ads that i have seen do not address the piston material.All say (Lifetime Warranty)just make me wonder what is better in the long run.........thanks
