There is a guy in Denver that put a 3-53 Detroit in a late 40's power wagon. I believe that he coupled it to an Allison transmission and used newer Dana axles. I might be able to scrounge up his name, or I think that there was a little blurb in the PWA sometime back concerning his truck. This is his work truck. He does maintenance on excavators, etc.
