1. cowl lamps were off w/ headlights
2. the cowl lamps were the first click on the light switch, the headlights were second, the do not operate together.
3. I had to ground my cowl lights but I did it at the socket and pigtailed through thewiring hole to the dash supports. If you just ground the housing nut you may not be close enough to the problem.
