Contact Sam Winer Motors in Akron, OH, 330-628-4881. They have both 1/4" pins for the original MU winch, and the 5/16 pins for the MU-2. Last I checked they were about 50 cents a piece.
I would recommend AGAINST using even an ungraded bolt. When I ran the numbers a few years ago for the MU-2 winch an ungraded bolt was about twice as strong as the rated capacity of the winch, meaning that the bolt would shear at about 18,000lbs pull (with drum empty).
You can make the gaskets for the input shaft retainer yourself. You'll need several to get the shaft end-play right. Braden recommends 0.007-0.015". The bearings may be savagable, but get both seals replaced before that bull gear gets damaged. They run about $450 on a good day!
