For 1971, the transmission ratios are
435 = 6.68, 3.34, 1.66, 1.00
445 = 4.56, 2.28, 1.31, 1.00
The 435 is better for slow, off-road going or very heavy loads as it provides lower gearing, and the 445 is better for high speed highway driving. Please let me know if you decide to sell the 445 tranny, as I am looking for one for my 1970 W200. Fred. agrijeep@qwest.net
