The 2 large nuts your speaking of take off the hub/drum assembly.
If your looking to get off "just" the drum,
You'll see sloted screws between the wheel studs. remove those and the drum alone comes off. You can use a chissel to remove the 2 large nuts tho not the best way..
There are 2 large nuts as tom said with a lock tab between. bend the lock ring free of the nut and remove 1st nut. slide off the lock ring. Then just loosen the 2nd nut no lock tab there.
Drum hub assembly will now come off unless the brake shoes are to tight to the inside of the drumm, you then need to back off the the brake shoes. Good Luck Bill
