I bought a aluminum Coast Guard approved fuel tank from a fabricator in Florida. Its mounted in the bed, under the cross bed tool box. Fuel fill is on the outside of the bed.
Check out the link below and scroll down to the W300 (smokey) build. You will see pictures. If you want to go with the marine aluminum fuel tank, I can email you info. The quality was excellent. They actually built my tank with In/Out and vent fittings the sizes I needed to match my commercial fuel fill on the outside.
