drum diameters, probably can even get away with 3|16s or less depending on how far out you move the centers, the less you move them the less you have to turn down the drum as the inside wheel diameter tapors down as you go in
when you turn the drum turn it on a slight bevel so it matches the wheel that way get away with minimal surfacing of the drum ear
I saw a big truck with less than an inch between tires
3|4s inch between tires maybe the magic no. so as not to turn down the drum much
