Send me any info you've got. Is there a wiring diagram on it anywhere? Any knobs, switches, gauges? If the capacitors are small, with just one wire coming out, they might just be across the commutator brushes to reduce radio interference. An automotive "condenser" would accomplish the same thing, or you can run the machine without them so long as you're not trying to actually power a radio.
