Going backwards, at first I had contacted a place that specializes in OLD Petes in Northern CA called Courtland Truck Works, but I figured keep it close to home during the re-build. I THINK a lot of the money I paid the Pete dealer was for having them call Courtland Truck Works in CA for advice. If I were to do it again, I'd take it to the place in CA---period. The Pete dealer missed a LOT during the re-build and for what I paid, they shouldn't have missed ANYTHING.
Real basic, I kept the 350 Cummins, but took out the original tranny and replaced it with a 13 speed and added all new suspension along with about everything else.
