Hey WW2 guys, help ID this light please

I have this light, it is NOS. I thought it was a siren, and noticed it had a light inside the grille. I took it apart to see if there was a voltage marked on it, and all I found was a date of 1941. And no siren. There are 2 wires, I figured one for the light and one for the siren, but it turned out the second wire must be a dedicated ground. This thing is all cast and quite heavy, I am surprised how beefy it is just to be a light housing. With the grille, it must be some type of a blackout light, but I am curious as to what it went on.
