Picked up a Power Wagon parts truck today from a bit southwest of Albany New York. Truck has a nice set of Dual-Matic lever lockouts, rear shock brackets, the stamped mirror bracket etc. It has a Heil dump bed in pretty nice shape. Anyone looking to make their Power Wagon a dump truck? The bed fits very nicely visually and mechanically and has all the lifting cyl. etc.
The place I got it was about a 10,000 square foot barn, filled to the rafters with Indian Motorcycle parts. It was like walking through VPW's warehouses except instead of PW stuff it was all Indian. The Owner died about 3 years ago, and the Widow hired a man to go through it all and sort it out and continue to run the business. What a dream job! He told me it has taken him 3 years to get it to where you could walk through and begin to function at all. It looked like the places those bozo's from American Pickers would show up and try to lowball everything. (and then brag to the camera afterward about how much they were going to clear when they sold the stuff, like the sellers didnt watch it.)
It was really cool to walk through and see all this stuff.
It was a fun day.
