I was almost 4 years old when Pearl Harbor was attacked, and almost 8 years old when the war ended. I do Remember Pearl Harbor - but purely for its historical significance. As a retired US Army officer, I remember all those who died for the United States in that, and all other wars.
I display my WC52 on all appropriate occasions to honor their memories.
I do not have a P-38 like the ones that shot down Yamamoto's Mitsubishi bomber, but I like to cruise a mall or two every December 7th in my American Dodge knowing that I could crush a Mitsubishi if my country needed me to.
I am no nut case, but it makes me proud to remember how great my country really is.
