Greg, two stock carbs and a set of repop fenton cast iron headers did wonders for mine, helped that seat of the pants feel of the truck. I am running a tattersfield twin ace intake, and the fenton split manifold. I did not want any more noise so I had the muffler man run them into one 2 1/2 inch pipe. If you go this route be sure and get them to put an exspansion joint between the cast iron manifolds, bruce told me there was a chance of the pipe exspanding and breaking an ear off one of the manifolds. It helped my truck enough that I would do it again, and did not make a big enough difference in fuel consumtion to matter. Dave.
