Or maybe to allow a narrow trailer to show a little bit in the side mirror? Ever tried to back up a Jeep trailer that you can't any bit of? (the WWII idea in my subject line) Ben Hur trailer maybe? Get one wheel of a skinny trialer in one rut, tiher on high ground, rather than a trail fishtailing back and forth? Does the offset line up a WWII trailer, made for 1/2t, to the 3/4-1t track? Or are they all the same?
Or maybe you guys are putting your belt pulleys on upside down? Flip it over, and the pully in centered to the truck?
