Mike and Clint are right, the stock trucks I believe all used low range, 1st gear. You need the power not wheel speed in stock form.
On M re-powered M, I went with low rand 2nd gear as I wanted a little more wheel speed. I bogged down at the end, but suspect that if I had done 1st gear, I might have broke something rather than slipping the clutch a little.
