Yes, that's what happened, my beautiful pump 12 gauge "pig shooters special" went the same way. The govt offered a price and you had to take it or lose it unless you had a special license and a reason to own. Every gun has to be registered, every owner has to have a license and you have to demonstrate an approved reason - of course gun crime has gone up because the bad guys don't follow the rules. I get angry when I see the rights of law abiding citizens being eroded as they have been consistently over the last 40 years.
